Developed for equestrians on a budget.
Horses are expensive enough, and lets face it, life isn’t very cheap at the moment either! The Move. Ride. Thrive. Guides were designed for those equestrians who want to do right by their horse and themselves but between horsey and life expenses, a gym membership or a personal trainer, are not something they can swing.
Developed by an equestrian who truly understands what it is like to ride, these guides were written to solve your problems in the saddle effectively & efficiently.
Move. Ride. Thrive with Patricia!
The MRT guides are e-books designed to solve common rider challenges like balance, swinging legs, gripping knees, unsteady hands, loss of breath, and confidence. They also include lifestyle guides on nutrition and habits to support a healthier, stronger, and more confident rider both in and out of the saddle.
FAQs
-
The Three Day Guides are catered toward busy equestrians who are constantly on the go and are juggling multiple things at once. You know that working on yourself will greatly benefit your riding, but you just have no clue how you’ll fit yet another thing on your ever growing to do list. The Three Day Guides consist of resistance full body workouts utilizing exercises that activate multiple muscle groups at once to give you the best bang for your buck with the limited time you have.
The Four Day Guides are for those equestrians who are still short on time but have the bandwidth to dedicate another day towards their self-improvement. These guides focus on an upper body and lower body workout split, which means a workout day will either consist of all upper body exercises or all lower body exercises. The Four Day Guides were created to target and improve the key areas of your body that directly affect the biomechanics of your horse.
-
Both the three day and the four day home guide workouts are designed to last no more than 45 minutes as we understand that your time is precious. Evidence-based research used to build these programs ensures that you will see the results your are looking for so long as you follow the programs correctly.
-
The Move. Ride. Thrive. guides are a DIY, hands-off product, meaning that you complete the workouts on your own and no coaching support is provided. If you’d like extra accountability and support, there is an exclusive Facebook group that you can join once you purchase one of the guides, where we will be happy to help you!
-
While these guides have been designed to be beginner friendly with simple easy to follow exercise descriptions, it is recommended that if you have zero previous workout experience, to work 1 on 1 with a trainer before attempting to do any unassisted guide. Trainers are there to educate not only how to correctly perform each exercise, but they also help fix your form while doing it, ensuring that you are safe from injury.
-
All home workout guides call for the following:
3 sets of dumbbells - light, medium, & heavy weight (eg. 3lbs, 5lbs, 8lbs or 5lbs, 10lbs, 15 lbs)
Fabric resistance bands
Rubber resistance bands with a handle
Optional - exercise mat
A home gym doesn't have to be expensive. There is equipment available online or at your local sporting goods store that will help you progress towards your goals without breaking the bank.
-
There’s no one single exercise you have to do! You can always do a different exercise within the same movement pattern category.
-
Every exercise in the program is linked to an exercise demo showing you how the movement should look, along with step-by-step instructions and tips on how to execute proper technique.
-
None of Patricia’s programs will ever specify the exact loads for you to use. This is because everyone’s strength levels are different, and what might be heavy to one person may be too light for another. Patricia recommends using a challenging weight for whatever exercise you are performing in the target repetition range. There may be some trial and error involved during the first week of a new program as you identify the best loads for you to use, but no worries! That’s all part of the process.
-
Absolutely! All of the exercises in the home programs use equipment that is readily available at the gym or can easily be substituted with gym machines.
-
We can’t send you a sample of the workouts, but if you look at the Equisport Fitness Instagram & Facebook pages, there are frequent posts that you can reference as examples, as Patricia does these workouts herself each month.
